OMPHobby ARF Edge 540 Green/Black approx 1.87m 74" Aircraft
OMPHOBBY offers the 74" Edge 540 in a balsa-reinforced version with carbon and Kevlar composites, coated with Oracover for optimum durability and vivid colors. This aircraft is designed for 3D aerobatics, offering exceptional performance and precise handling.
For those who prefer a more classic flying style, the Edge 540 also excels in Aresti-style aerobatics.
It is compatible with a 30-40cc petrol engine or a 3000-4000W brushless motor, combined with a 6-12S LiPo battery. Its lightweight balsa and Kevlar®/carbon composite-reinforced plywood fuselage, numerous carbon parts, removable fiberglass cowling and large canopy provide easy access to the entire power system and RC equipment. The motor is solidly mounted on a reinforced plywood/composite housing with radial support.
The wings, consisting of two balsa parts with a carbon wing key, are easily attached to the fuselage with screws. The large ailerons are individually controlled by a servo each. The SFG winglets supplied can be fitted to the wingtips for added stability.
The balsa tailplane is lightweight, with a one-piece horizontal tail glued into the fuselage. Elevator and rudder are controlled by servos located at the rear of the fuselage.
