This filler neck is in fact a plug placed on the fuel line of your model. It looks like a fuel cap from the outside, which makes it particularly attractive for model aircraft.
The outer part slides through a pre-drilled hole in the engine cowling or fuselage of the aircraft and is held in place by self-tapping screws. The inner connector has a solid nipple which connects to the fuel hose. The inner connector is surrounded by an O-ring to keep it snugly in place.
