Air Truck was originally designed as an aircraft to tow the STIGRA glider. Given its high power potential and flight characteristics, it can eventually tow any glider up to 1.2 kg. The V-tail may seem surprising on such a plane, but it's preferable for towing, of course - the tow line is routed between the V-planes and doesn't disturb the pilot by interfering with the control surface. The plane is very predictable, so even less experienced pilots can tow gliders for the first time, without any worries.
The aircraft was designed by world champion electric pylon racer Jan Sedlacek. Hence the idea of using it in fun pylon races! For faster flight, more durability or racing, you can cover the plane with a 38-micron thermo-adhesive film (also available from Intermodel).
The wings are removable, secured by two plastic screws. The disassembled plane is easy to transport. The decent size of the fuselage means you can easily hide all the electronic parts inside. The battery compartment cover is held in place by magnets, so you can change the battery quickly and easily.
Air Truck has also been designed as an easy-to-pilot finned trainer.
