MAVLink or Micro Air Vehicle Link is a protocol for communicating with small unmanned vehicles. It's a simple messaging protocol for communicating with drones (and between drones' onboard components). MAVLink follows a modern hybrid publish-subscribe and point-to-point design model: data streams are sent/published as topics, while configuration sub-protocols such as the mission log or parameter log are point-to-point with retransmission.
