UHU Plast Special Glue 30g

Special adhesive for joining polystyrene components.

DESCRIPTION
Properties
Forms a thermoplastic, rigid yet flexible adhesive film
Resists temperatures between -30 °C and +90 °C, as well as water, oil, petrol and alcohol
Very fine needle-shaped nozzle which allows a very precise application and to reach hard to reach places
The following maximum values have been determined:
Plexiglas 3.0 N/mm²
polystyrene 3,4 N/mm²
rigid PVC 4,3 N/mm²
polycarbonate 4,5 N/mm²
ABS 6,5 N/mm² material breakage

APPLICATION
Suitable for:
Adheres excellently to a number of plastics such as polystyrene and high impact polystyrenes (ABS, SAN, SB, ASA), soft and rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC), Plexiglas® (PMMA), Celluloide®, cellulose ester (CN, CAB), polycarbonate (PC). In addition, UHU plast fluid/special also bonds other materials such as wood, paper and cardboard (to the plastics listed above).

USE
Before use:
Personal protection
Contains highly flammable volatile solvents. Therefore, adequate safety measures regarding processing and storage must be taken.

Surface requirements
Substrates must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease.

Tools
With a fine needle-shaped nozzle for precise application and for reaching hard-to-reach places.

During use:
Instructions for use
Depending on the requirements, apply to one or both materials to be bonded and press together immediately. Initial adhesion is achieved after 5 to 10 minutes. The high strength of UHU plast liquid/special is achieved by melting the plastic surface. For this reason, the adhesive should only be applied in small quantities to very thin plastics.

After use:
Stains/remains
Glue traces and stains can be removed with acetone or nitrocellulose lacquer thinner.

Storage conditions
Store in a tightly closed container in a dry, cool and frost-free place.
