Note:
MICROMOT steel collets are hardened, which gives them a high and constant elasticity. They retain the necessary precision even after long use (incomparable to non-hardened collets with 4 slots or those made of brass or aluminum. The triple slot, which is much more difficult to achieve than a quadruple slot, provides a better fit. This is particularly important for centering small diameter rods.
