The full-size Viper Jet has been designed to offer the look and performance of a fighter jet with the handling of a low-wing prop plane, so that more pilots can enjoy flying a jet. The E-flite® Viper 70 mm EDF is replicated both in the way it looks and the way it flies, and offers a high-performance experience like no other, whether you've flown many jets before or this is your first high-performance jet model.
Are you new to flying radio-controlled aircraft? If so, the Viper is not a suitable first RC model, and we recommend that you learn to fly with one of our specially designed trainers, such as the E-flite® Habu STS (Smart Trainer with SAFE) 70 mm EDF. It's equipped with the exclusive and innovative SAFE technology that enables almost anyone to learn to fly successfully! The basic Ready-To-Fly (RTF) version includes almost everything you need to fly (with the exception of a compatible LiPo battery and charger, which are sold separately), and is a perfect choice if you're a new RC pilot!
Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make it easier than ever to take off quickly and with the best possible control experience. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4 GHz receiver installed. So all you have to do is link the receiver to a compatible transmitter, complete the final assembly and fly!
The 70mm 12-blade turbine, enhanced 1900Kv brushless inrunner motor and 85-amp ESC combined with your 6S 3200 to 4000mAh 30+C LiPo battery offer almost unlimited vertical performance and an incredible speed range with virtually instant throttle response. But what makes the experience truly bluffing is the astonishing sound produced by the power system: almost like a real turbine engine. This makes it capable of top speeds in level flight of up to 120+MPH (193+km/h).
The steerable nosewheel and wide-spaced main undercarriage are electrically retractable and fitted with metal components offering reliability and excellent ground handling. Improved, shock-absorbing undercarriage struts enable operation on a variety of surfaces: paved, dirt and even some grassy areas. Softer tires reduce bounce when landing on hard surfaces.
